Charles Wilson, MS, LPC, EMDR

Working directly with clients, helping them address issues such as anxiety, depression, problems within the family unit, and trauma related issues is a passion for Charles and a primary focus of his work. As licensed counselor Charles is afforded the opportunity to work directly with people in the community who are dealing with difficulties in their life that for one reason, or another have become overwhelming and beyond their ability to currently tackle.

With the knowledge that each case presents with unique circumstances, Charles understands that no single approach is the right for every individual, and so he has been trained in a range of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) with a Trauma focus, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), the Good Lives approach to trauma counseling, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Charles’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in counseling, from Southwest Baptist University. Charles also received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. He has coupled this training with additional learning opportunities to remain current with the latest research and evidence-based treatment practices.
